Nasrin Sotoudeh is an iranian lawyer who has been imprisoned in Tehran since September 2010. Her crime was to defend human rights activists. She also defended people who were sentenced to death for crimes committed when they were children.
Nasrin Sotoudeh´s activity has always followed Iranian law. Still she has been sentenced to 11 years prison and to not being able to practice her work as a lawyer or leaving the country for 20 years. For the past two years she has not been given one single day of leave from the jail.Her husband and two children are not able to see her other than through a window during short meetings.
