In a comment Mahsa expresses that both the award and the many good reviews from countries all over the world is a great inspiration. The award is interesting also when considering the fact that she is invisible in her homeland Iran, where the authorities forbid women to sing solo in public. The record is released by KKV in Oslo. It contains 21 tracks with Mahsa’s voice a cappella, recorded in unique and beautiful rooms in Turkey, Poland, France, Spain and Norway. Among these are the Akhtamar Cathedral by the Van Lake in Anatolia, the Alhambra Castle in Granada and the Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum in Oslo. The producer is Erik Hillestad. On the 3rd of November Mahsa Vahdat participates at the Oslo World Music Festival with the songs from the album. This will be the first live performance of the repertoire in Norway.
