Ny stemme med ny energi, ny musikk og nye, sterkt personlige tekster. Et vise-rock-album med kraft, poesi og en unik vokalprestasjon.

Kjersti Kveli is from Snåsa in the county of Nord-Trøndelag – but has also lived in New York for some years – and now presents her first Norwegian album, released on 30th October 2015. On her team we find a band and a studio which matches her 1970s idols, as well as KKV, one of the heavyweights in Norwegian music over the last 40 years.

The New York Music Daily says about Kveli:There are plenty of women in New York with pretty voices, toting acoustic guitars; Kveli’s ability to shift seamlessly between genres, not to mention her fantastic band, puts her a cut above most of them.” She has been described by Aftenposten (a leading Norwegian newspaper) as “a fantastic and versatile singer,” and Vårt Land (another Norwegian newspaper) says that she has a “unique shining and emotive voice” and that “listening to her is magic”.

With a selection of quality songs which she and her record company are very proud of, she is now launching her new album ”No e tida” [Now's the time]. Her band is: Tor Morten Kjøsnes on guitar, Are Rosseland on drums and Torjus Eggen on bass. Kjersti plays the acoustic guitar and keyboards. The record, which is also being released on vinyl, was recorded in Engfeldt og Forsgren Studio in Oslo where it was mixed by Martin Abrahamsen. The producer is Erik Hillestad.

Kjersti Kveli cultivates the roots of her Trøndelag origins, singing about things that are close to us, occasionally those almost embarrassing things. She does this with her most down to earth sound: her own dialect. She is passionately interested in words and likes to write poems where others solve crossword puzzles.
