Solskinnsdypet is a poetic and life-affirming record featuring a creative combination of Kolbjørn Falkeid’s poems and Ketil Bjørnstad’s music.

Falkeid’s reading of his poems to the accompaniment of Bjørnstad’s music is a beautiful experience in the perfect context.

Twelve poems read by Falkeid are musically framed and interpreted by Bjørnstad’s compositions.

A fantastic band consisting of Bjørn Kjellemyr (bass), Rune Arnesen (drums), Arve Henriksen (trumpet), Nora Aksdal (viola) and the composer himself on the grand piano have spent some days in the Rainbow Studio with producer Erik Hillestad and sound magician Jan Erik Kongshaug.

Kolbjørn Falkeid has gained an enthusiastic following in recent years. The poet’s down-to-earth and sensual style captures listeners and readers immediately. His pomes evoke the complexity of human life, in essence expressing: “No one is only what you see.”

The CD cover is designed by Kjell Pahr-Iversen.
