Kari Iveland - Vektløs
Emerging from a career as backing vocalist, she releases for the first time her own album with her own lyrics
Many Norwegians listen to Kari Iveland daily on the radio, usually without knowing it. She has contributed to a number of artists’ albums as backing vocalist, for example on Odd Børretzen and Lars Martin Myhre’s recordings.
Apart from being an excellent vocalist, Kari Iveland also writes strong, personal lyrics. On ”Vektløs” she let’s us take part in some of her own existential unrest, communicating songs with warmth, generosity and beauty in both lyrics and tunes.
The music has been taken care of mainly by Hilde Heltberg. She wrote all the melodies, all of them very tuneful. Jørn Christensen is producer, and the style is in the area of roots, ballad and pop.
