Kari Bremnes, Lars Bremnes og Ola Bremnes - Soløye

All three are leading Norwegian song artists.
All three write their own music and lyrics.
They grew up under the same roof.
Now they sing together on the same record.

Kari, Ola and Lars Bremnes are all well established, independent artists with solid record releases behind them, both individually and together. On this new CD the sister and two brothers split the soloist singing between them, but a distinguishing feature on this CD is just as much their three-voiced singing together, and a band consisting of Anders Engen, Gjermund Silseth, Jarle Bernhoft, Bengt Egil Hanssen and Håkon Iversen.

Soløye contains 14 songs and was produced for Kirkelig Kulturverksted by Håkon Iversen. Recordings were made in Harstad and at Bremnes, a small village where elder brother Ola now lives, and where the Bremnes family has its paternal roots. All recordings were made during two late summer weeks. The old school house at Bremnes was well suited for recording the vocals, and Harstad Culture House hosted the orchestral recordings.
