Fotefar & Håvard Lund - Fest - Party
Fotefar & Håvard Lund: Fest (Party)
FEST is the first CD from the folk trio Fotefar (Footprints) and clarinet player Håvard Lund.
The musicians in this group have been working for over a year as roving musicians for the Troms County Authority’s cultural centre. Based in Målselv, they perform all over northern Norway.
Lena Jinnegren, Bendik Lund Haanshus and Ragnhild Furebotten are three very creative and exciting musicians, which this album proves with its invigorating versions of folk songs from Sweden and folk music from northern Norway.
Lena, from Sweden, has deep roots in rock, folk music and folk ballads, and has performed with the Swedish band "Era".
Ragnhild is a member of the band "Majorstuen", which won the Norwegian "Spellemann" (folk musician) music award in 2003. She was also nominated for the same award in 2008 for her solo CD "Endelig vals" (Finally a waltz).
Bendik trained at the music conservatory in Trondheim, and plays in the group KADO and the tango music band Orangutango, where he is responsible for most of the musical arrangements.
For a year now, Håvard has been employed as artist in residence for the cultural centre in Troms county, and now has a permanent position there as a musician, composer and arranger. He has played with the band "Farmers Market", with Frode Fjellheim of "Transjoik", has collaborated with Trygve Seim, been a festival musician at the Festival of northern Norway and much more.
