Diverse artister - Women care
Unni Wilhelmsen, Anneli Drecker, Simone and Lynni Treekrem meet the four African artists Chiwoniso from Zimbabwe, Marie Daulne (fronting Zap Mama) from the Democratic Republic of Congo/Belgium, Tigist Bekele from Ethiopia, and Talike from Madagascar in thei respective native countries to make good music together and build relations and networks using music as their medium and means of communication. CARE Norway, in cooperation with KKV and producer Sigbjørn Nedland, has taken the initiative to make this intriguing CD called “Women Care”
The songs were recorded at two sessions this winter in Tanzania at a studio in Dar es Salaam, which Sigbjørn Nedland has designed and built in cooperation with local musicians and NORAD.
